MAIN LAWN

If you look out the main windows from the center of the ballroom, you will see a large grass area; this is the Main Lawn Ceremony space. We can seat up to 350 guests on the Main Lawn for a ceremony. We set up white wooden folding chairs, and a small round table with a white linen and a chair for your wedding registry signing. We can set up the ceremony in any direction; however it is most common to have the guests facing out to the golf course and the bride to walk down the stairs from the brick patio, then down the aisle.

Day of Details

Your guests will access the Main Lawn, from the Lobby, through the first floor restaurant.

The putting green to the left of the Main Lawn is closed during ceremonies and the golf cart paths around the Main Lawn are closed during the processional. The restaurant patio is open to the public during the ceremony, however the chairs are set further back on the lawn and this does not interfere with the privacy of the ceremony. 

If you are having musicians and they require an umbrella to protect them from the sun, we can provide this. If your DJ is providing your ceremony music, there are electrical outlets accessible on the lawn and we can set up a table for them to use. 

You are required to bring in a Marriage Commissioner to perform the ceremony, however your Swaneset Event Manager will coordinate your ceremony and host a rehearsal prior. The rehearsal can be booked once we are 6 weeks from your wedding date, as it is based on availability and the current event schedule.

Swaneset does not provide any décor for your ceremony. Your decorator and vendors will have access 4 hours prior to your ceremony or reception start time to start décor and/or setup.

Following your ceremony, guests can use the large outdoor staircase (referred to as “the Stairway to Heaven”), to access the cocktail area in the Grand Ballroom and the Sunset Patio. Guests are also welcome to go through the clubhouse and use the elevator to access the Grand Ballroom.

BIRCH TERRACE

If you look out to the left of the Main Lawn, you will see the wooden deck; this is the Birch Terrace.

The Birch Terrace ceremony location can accommodate up to 175 guests (the space may look small from here; however it is larger than it appears). We set this space with white wooden folding chairs all facing the large tree to the left of the terrace. We also set up a small round signing table with a white linen and a chair for your wedding registry.

Day of Details

Your processional will start as you walk down the three steps, through the two tall trees, on the left side of the brick patio. The walk to the terrace is approximately 1 to 2 minutes. This is great for photos.
